Eco-Park: Ecological Park, Community Garden and small animal park (entrance free of charge)
The ecological park was established from the old zoo, which was a place of recreation, education, animal care and understanding nature for the kibbutz children over many years. Recently the designated area has been reduced and areas of greenery are being cultivated for natural recycling, constructions (mud buildings) and lots more. The youth of the kibbutz, headed by the Eco Park team, created a large building from soil, decorated it with glass from old bottles and mosaic tiles. The greenery in the park is irrigated with recycled water that comes from the nearby kindergartens. In addition, there are still some animals such as crocodiles, roosters, monkeys, giant turtles, meerkats and other animals who live in the Eco Park peacefully.
We invite you to come and enjoy the magic of the Ein Gedi Eco Park which is situated opposite the Hotel restaurant.

Opening hours during the holiday period:
Wednesday, 20th September, (holiday eve): 09:00 – 14:00

Ein Gedi Museum (entrance free of charge)
The kibbutz museum tells the story of Kibbutz Ein Gedi – from its establishment in 1956 on a deserted mountain plateau in the heart of the desert, to present day. This is a story of Zionism, pioneers and the faith in the spirit of man. The story is presented in pictures, video clips, texts and exhibits. You can learn how the families survived the extreme weather conditions (heat, floods), with no roads, how they raised their first babies (collectively) and how they made a living. The new exhibition, which opened in August 2017, presents unique pictures accompanied by texts in Hebrew and English. During the opening hours there will be guides who are all among the founders of the kibbutz and they will be very happy to tell you their stories and personal experiences. The museum is located two minutes’ walk from the Hotel Restaurant in westerly direction.
